Author name mode

This mode accepts every eligible new message and creates a title from a template.

Available variables

• {displayName}: the member’s display name in the server;
• {username}: the member’s Discord username.

A template can combine text with these variables, for example:

Discussion with {displayName}

The template cannot exceed 100 characters or use any other variable. The rendered title is cleaned and fitted to Discord’s limit.

When to use this mode

Choose Author name for channels where each message opens a request, introduction, or personal topic without requiring a link or attachment.
