Rejected messages
Configure deletion, public warnings, and private return of invalid messages.
This policy applies to URL title and Media modes when a message does not contain the required source.
Source-message deletion
Enable or disable deletion, then choose a delay between 0s and 24h. A delay lets the author correct or recover the message before deletion.
The bot needs Manage Messages when this option is enabled.
Public warning
You can customize the text with:
{user}to mention the author;{delay}to display the time before deletion.
The warning can disappear after 60s to 24h, or remain without an automatic limit. It always remains visible for at least 60 seconds, independently of the source-message delay: a source message deleted after 3s therefore leaves its public warning visible for at least 60s.
Return by direct message
When enabled, Auto Threads immediately sends the text and attachment links back to the author through Discord. These elements are not stored. A failed direct message does not stop scheduled deletion.
Delayed deletions automatically resume after a bot restart.
