Troubleshooting
Diagnose the most common causes when a thread or configuration does not work.
No thread is created
- Check that the channel is enabled in
/config autothread. - Confirm that the message matches the selected mode.
- Review the bot permissions.
- Use
/bot-infoto inspect service health.
The Auto Threads operator manages gateway intents, not server administrators. If permissions are correct and the problem continues, send the /bot-info status to the operator.
Missing permissions
Check channel-specific permissions, not only the server-level role. Add Manage Messages when invalid-message deletion is enabled.
Active-channel limit reached
Disable or delete an active configuration before enabling another one. A disabled configuration keeps its settings.
A domain replaces the page title
The remote website may reject the request, respond too slowly, exceed the size limit, or return no usable HTML. Falling back to the domain is expected in these cases.
The panel was reloaded
Another administrator probably changed the configuration. Auto Threads rejects stale actions to avoid overwriting recent state; continue from the refreshed panel.
A direct message is missing
The author may have closed their direct messages. Configured deletion is independent and continues normally.
